Fox-Marriner began creating hats as a coverup for people suffering hair loss due to chemotherapy, in conjunction with Maggies, the wonderful cancer support centre.

I started making them as my mother, Betty Fox-Marriner had cancer years ago and she lost her hair through treatment.

I used to go to visit her and she would stay how uncomfortable she was with the way she looked plus also that most head covers didn’t cover her head properly and they were not so soft to wear, so I made some hats for her and she loved them.

We make soft comfortable cotton jersey hats which attempt to ease the discomfort associated with hair loss, with how people look, as the hats are a great cover up for people undergoing cancer treatments.

Betty went on to get through cancer twice, she was totally cured and died at the wonderful age of 93, she was an inspiration to everyone around her.

The hats are made from 100% cotton jersey and come in a range of colours.

I hope that you will be happy with what we have made.
